Racial disparities in Mississippi juvenile justice

Three out of every four children charged as adults in Mississippi over a 25-year period were black, despite comprising about the same proportion of the population as white children, and were more likely to serve longer sentences for the same crimes.

Contributions

My contributions to this project comprised analyses of court and U.S. Census data, primarily. I also reported in the field alongside the inimitable Ko Bragg conducting archival research of legislative records and interviews.
